Assistant Test User Course
The Assistant Test User Certificate is an EFPA (European Federation of Psychological Associations) Level 1 certificate. Previously the BPS ‘Test Administration’ certificate it is mandatory to achieve this Level 1 certificate to be eligible for the Level 2 qualifications. However, holding this Level 1 certificate enables assistant test users to work effectively in support of their Level 2 trained colleagues and:
- Administer ability and personality tests.
- Score both categories of test, on paper or on computer.
- Generate reports using appropriate psychometric software before passing them to Level 2 trained colleagues for interpretation, feedback and decision making.
This is a one-day course and there are no post-course requirements for this programme. The certificate can usually be awarded immediately after completion of the course.

Support
To allow trained test users to delegate the administration of tests to a competent colleague, test administration training provides delegates with the skills to administer and score tests but not to interpret results. This course leads to the Assistant Test User Occupational, formerly Test Administration Certificate awarded by the BPS.
Who Is The Course For?
Delegates on this course usually come from organisations that already have qualified test users in-house and wish to delegate the time-consuming task of administration.
Alternatively, organisations new to the test arena often send delegates on this course and use a bureau service to interpret the tests, with a view to investing in the more advanced training courses at a later date.
Block Bookings
Block booking is a method of reserving multiple training places at a substantial cost saving. You only need decide how many places you or your company requires, and confirm them by a single invoice paid before commencement of the first delegate’s training. Once you have paid for a block booking you have complete flexibility of when you send delegates for training; they can all attend one course (subject to availability) or can be spread across any of our future courses to suit your staff requirements. We do note that the option of block booking is very popular with many clients.
Not only does it have commercial advantages both in terms of price and flexibility, but delegates also find they benefit from learning with others from a diverse range of professional backgrounds and benefit from the sharing of individual experiences.
In-House Training
If you have 6 or more colleagues who need to be trained, it may be cost-effective to organise a course at a time and venue of your choice. If the training is for one organisation, this provides the added benefit that the training can be focused on your specific assessment requirements.
