The Combined Occupational Test User Course is 5 days in duration with a follow-up day. The follow-up day provides learning support to review your experiences in a post course assessment project and can be done by attending a face to face session or via webinar for convenience.

The qualifications achieved by attending the combined course are described in detail below.

Assistant Test User (ATU)

The ATU Certificate is an EFPA (European Federation of Psychological Associations) Level 1 certificate. Previously the BPS ‘Test Administration’ certificate, it is mandatory to achieve the Level 1 units this certificate contains to be eligible for the Level 2 qualifications.

Test User Ability (TUA)

Formerly BPS Level A. The TUA Certificate is an EFPA (European Federation of Psychological Associations) Level 2 certificate. The Test User Ability Certificate is required to register with test publishers and gain access to Occupational Ability Tests.

Test User Personality (TUP)

Formerly Level B (Intermediate) . The TUP Certificate is an EFPA (European Federation of Psychological Associations) Level 2 certificate. The Test User Personality Certificate provides access to Personality assessment.

By combining the Ability and Personality Certificates into a single course, delegates are able to obtain a more thorough grounding in the theory and application of psychological assessment as a whole. This approach saves time by avoiding the duplication that occurs when the two levels are studied separately or if the component modules are separated by weeks or months.

Additional Qualifications Available:

Test User Personality – Additional Instrument (TUP+)

Formerly Level B(Intermediate Plus). The TUP+ Certificate is an EFPA (European Federation of Psychological Associations) Level 2 certificate. The Test User Personality- Additional Instrument Certificate provides evidence that you have demonstrated assessed competence in additional instruments beyond that in which you gained your first TUP Certificate.

The Course Objectives

• To equip delegates with the knowledge required to critically evaluate psychometric tests for specific applications.
• To enable delegates to successfully implement objective assessment methods for selection, development, counselling and guidance.
• To provide a thorough and objective overview of the assessment market.
• To assess the role of computers in assessment.
• To enable delegates to qualify for the Occupational Testing: Assistant Test User, Test User Ability and Test User Personality certificates of competence and to be included in the BPS Register of Qualified Test users (RQTU).

Block Bookings

Block booking is a method of reserving multiple training places at a substantial cost saving. You only need decide how many places you or your company requires, and confirm them by a single invoice paid before commencement of the first delegate’s training. Once you have paid for a block booking you have complete flexibility of when you send delegates for training; they can all attend one course (subject to availability) or can be spread across any of our future courses to suit your staff requirements. We do note that the option of block booking is very popular with many clients.

Not only does it have commercial advantages both in terms of price and flexibility, but delegates also find they benefit from learning with others from a diverse range of professional backgrounds and benefit from the sharing of individual experiences. Furthermore, delegates also benefit by avoiding the distractions that inevitably arise by still being ‘at work’ and thus able to concentrate fully on the course requirements.
